FAQ’s

  1. What are the benefits to Doggy Daycare?

Doggy Daycare enables your dog to become more social, creates routine and structure, along with a place to burn off some of that extra energy they have. Daycare is mentally and physically stimulating for your dog and the addition of fun activities ensures they go home nice and tired from a hard day of playing with their friends.

  2. Does my dog have to be vaccinated?

Yes, all dogs must be up to date with a C5 vaccination (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza and Bordetella). Proof of vaccination is required upon enrolment, with booster due dates recorded. Proof of vaccination will again need to be sighted when due for boosters before attendance can continue.

  3. Can my puppy or senior dog attend Doggy Daycare?

Yes, however your puppy needs to be at least 12 weeks old (providing they have all of their vaccinations).

Senior dogs are also welcome. If your pet has any limitations we ask that you disclose this with the doggy daycare staff present on the day and for it to be included in their registration forms. This enables us to continue to provide safe and fun activities for your dog while they’re with us.

  4. My dog has a food allergy - can it still come?

Yes, please ensure we are fully aware of any allergies and intolerances and your dog will have a bandana placed on it to identify the food allergy.

  5. My dog has a medical condition - can it still come?

Yes, please ensure we are fully aware of the medical conditions, and that your vet has approved your dog coming to daycare. We will place a bandana on your dog to identify it has a medical condition.

  6. Does my dog have to be de-sexed?

Yes, all dogs over the age of 12 months are required to be de-sexed.

Dogs that have not been spayed/neutered are usually not best suited to open play environments such as doggy daycare and are more likely to impregnate or be impregnated. Spaying and neutering your dog gives them a better opportunity to play with toys and other dogs without getting possessive.

  7. Are the dogs supervised at all times?

Yes, the dogs are never left unsupervised.

  8. My dog has some behavioural issues - can you work on that as well?

Doggie Daycare is not behavioural training for your dog, depending on what the issues are, if the dog is suitable for daycare (ie it is sociable and enjoys playing with other dogs) then it can still come. We are happy to discuss any behavioural issues and provide you with some options.

  9. Does my dog need to have a behavioural assessment to come?

We do not charge to assess your dog’s behaviour when they join daycare as we believe this is an ongoing process as dogs will need to be assessed continually throughout their time at doggy daycare. We have a no tolerance approach to any form of aggression or biting and should this occur at anytime, you will be asked to collect your dog as soon as possible. We will provide you with feedback and updates on how your dog is going and any concerns we may have.

  10. My dog has been unwell, can it still come to daycare?

We ask that you keep your dog home if it has been unwell or you feel like they are not themselves.
